Fall into gentle autumn reflections on this restorative yoga and meditation retreat in the stunning South Hams,
at Higher Combe Retreat, South Pool, Kingsbridge
at Higher Combe Retreat, South Pool, Kingsbridge
Balance, let go and reflect upon the cycles of nature in preparation for the winter months ahead. This gentle, nurturing retreat will allow you to draw your attention inwards. Reflect on the past year and the impermanence of life, with yoga postures, meditative practices, vibrational medicine and guided coaching exercises that encourage deep introspection and acceptance.
Setting the scene
Autumn is a time for letting go, a time for gentle, personal reflection and gratitude, for the blessings (or lessons) received. As the trees allow their leaves to fall gracefully to the ground when no longer needed, this deeply nourishing autumn retreat will allow you to gently release any issues that no longer serve you, and guide you towards unlocking the inner resources that will move you forward.

Higher Combe is nestled in a gentle, rolling valley along a sleepy Devon lane and sits within its 22 acres of privately-owned land. It boasts a stunning, purpose-built yoga and meditation studio, a light and airy space with lovely views across the neighbouring valley. The studio faces east to take advantage of the beautiful sunrise.

Stunning location

Higher Combe Retreat's magnificent flower beds and herb gardens, private orchard and woodland area invite quiet, mindful contemplation; whilst its two adjoining fields offer brisk, refreshing walks with gorgeous views across both the Salcombe and Kingsbridge/Frogmore estuaries.
A short 10 minute walk down the lane takes you into the charming village of South Pool with its picturesque creek and popular local pub, The Millbrook Inn.

Wholesome food & healthy juices

We will provide our residential guests with breakfast, lunch and dinner for the duration of this retreat; usually served buffet style. We serve
deliciously wholesome, freshly-prepared vegetarian or vegan food.
Fresh fruit and healthy snacks, hot beverages and pure spring water, from Higher Combe's very own well, will be freely available to all.
As part of our 'karma yoga' philosophy, guests may be asked to assist with the preparation of evening meals each night, on a rota basis.
The ethos of our retreats is one of collaboration and mutual support. We, therefore, kindly request that guests help tidy up the kitchen and the communal areas after each mealtime.
If you
have any dietary requirements please let us know at the time of booking, so
that we can accommodate your personal preferences.
Delightful accommodation

Your accommodation for the retreat is
based on twin, double (and one single) accommodation,
with shared bathroom facilities. Two of the bedrooms are
located within a separate cottage in the grounds.
If you are travelling with friends, please let us know at the time of booking, so that you can stay together if this is your preference. Otherwise, you will be paired with a retreat participant of the same gender in a shared room.
Please note:
The cottage is also home to two friendly resident cats, Bob and Mollie. If you have an allergy to cat fur and therefore require a pet-free
environment please let us know at the time of making your booking.
There is a large, comfortable lounge for guests to relax in during breaks and a large, communal kitchen.
The dining room is located in a bright, sunny conservatory, which also has a piano available for musically-inspired guests to play if they wish.
